Ingredients
- 2 large Russet potatoes (about 1 lb)
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Boil the potatoes in salted water until fork-tender (15-20 minutes). Drain and cool slightly.
- Smash the potatoes gently using a potato masher or fork until flattened but still chunky.
- In a bowl, mix smashed potatoes with melted butter, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, and half of the Parmesan cheese.
