  • 2 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups cooked ham, diced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 ½ cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and sauté onions until translucent. Stir in heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Grease a baking dish and layer half of the potatoes at the bottom. Add half of the diced ham followed by half of the creamy mixture.
  4. Sprinkle shredded cheese over this layer. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes; remove foil and bake another 15 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
