  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 can (28 oz) whole peeled tomatoes
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a large pot. Add salt until it tastes like the sea.
  2. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the minced garlic in olive oil for about 1 minute.
  4. Add crushed whole tomatoes, season with salt and pepper, and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Lower heat and stir in heavy cream; simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce until fully coated.
  7. Remove from heat and mix in Parmesan cheese and chopped basil before serving.
