Description

Walking Tacos are a delicious, portable twist on traditional tacos that bring fun and flavor to any gathering. Enjoy layers of crunch and zest in every bite!


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (approximately 1 oz)
  • 4 cups tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or pepper jack)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Hot sauce to taste

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, stirring occasionally until no pink remains.
  2. Add taco seasoning and ¼ cup water to the meat; stir well and let simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened.
  3. Set up a serving station with all ingredients laid out in bowls.
  4. In individual bags or bowls, lightly crush tortilla chips as a base.
  5. Layer the hot meat mixture over the chips, followed by shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, and hot sauce.
