- 1 packet taco seasoning (approximately 1 oz)
- 4 cups tortilla chips
- 2 cups shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or pepper jack)
- 1 cup sour cream
- Hot sauce to taste
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, stirring occasionally until no pink remains.
- Add taco seasoning and ¼ cup water to the meat; stir well and let simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened.
- Set up a serving station with all ingredients laid out in bowls.
- In individual bags or bowls, lightly crush tortilla chips as a base.
- Layer the hot meat mixture over the chips, followed by shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, and hot sauce.
