  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar (for caramel)
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup water (for caramel)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine 3/4 cup sugar and 1/4 cup water over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Cook until the mixture turns golden brown, then pour it into a round baking dish, swirling to coat the bottom evenly.
  3. In a blender, combine sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
  4. Pour the custard mixture gently over the set caramel in the baking dish.
  5. Place the baking dish inside a larger dish filled with hot water (water bath). Bake for 50-60 minutes or until set.
  6. Allow to cool before refrigerating for at least 4 hours (or overnight). To serve, run a knife around the edges and invert onto a plate.
