Description

Savor the fusion of spicy shrimp and creamy avocado in crispy phyllo cups, a crowd-pleasing appetizer perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 10 sheets phyllo dough
  • 1 lb large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 ripe avocado, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a muffin tin.
  2. Layer and cut phyllo dough into squares. Press into muffin tin holes to form cups. Bake for 10 minutes until golden brown.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add garlic; sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Add shrimp and red pepper flakes; cook until shrimp turn pink (about 3-4 minutes). Stir in lime juice.
  5. Remove from heat and fold in diced avocado and cilantro.
  6. Spoon the shrimp mixture into baked phyllo cups and serve immediately.
