Description

Savor the mouthwatering taste of Grilled Carne Asada, a dish that brings friends and family together for unforgettable gatherings. This juicy, marinated flank steak is grilled to perfection, delivering a burst of flavor with every bite. Ideal for tacos or served alongside grilled veggies, it’s the perfect centerpiece for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ lbs flank steak
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • Juice of 2 limes (about ¼ cup)
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, lime juice, garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place the flank steak in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Ensure the steak is well-coated. Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to overnight.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F/200°C).
  4. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard leftover liquid. Grill steak for about 5-7 minutes per side or until desired doneness (aim for medium-rare).
  5. Transfer grilled carne asada to a cutting board and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing against the grain into thin strips.
