Ingredients

  • 8 ounces rigatoni pasta
  • 2 cups fresh cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the rigatoni in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté mushrooms and garlic until golden brown.
  3. Stir in heavy cream and simmer on low until slightly thickened.
  4. Mix in Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper until fully melted.
  5. Add cooked rigatoni to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
