- 4 medium cucumbers (sliced)
- 4 cloves garlic (crushed)
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp kosher salt
- 1 tbsp fresh dill (or 2 tsp dried dill)
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Prepare your cucumbers by washing them thoroughly and slicing them into spears or rounds.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine white vinegar, water, sugar, salt, and red pepper flakes. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Once boiling, remove from heat and stir in crushed garlic and dill sprigs. Let it cool slightly.
- Pack cucumber slices tightly in sterilized jars and pour the brine over until fully submerged.
- Seal the jars tightly with lids and refrigerate for a minimum of 24 hours before enjoying.
