  • 1 package dumpling wrappers (about 30 wrappers)
  • 1 lb ground chicken or pork (or 1 lb firm tofu for vegetarian option)
  • 4 green onions, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 cups chicken broth (or vegetable broth)
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 cup diced vegetables (bell peppers or carrots)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix ground meat or tofu, garlic, green onions, soy sauce, and sesame oil until combined.
  3. Place about one tablespoon of filling in the center of each dumpling wrapper; wet edges and seal tightly.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together chicken broth, sugar, cornstarch, and soy sauce until smooth to make the sauce.
  5. Pour half of the sauce into a greased baking dish. Arrange dumplings on top and drizzle remaining sauce over them.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.
