- 1 package dumpling wrappers (about 30 wrappers)
- 1 lb ground chicken or pork (or 1 lb firm tofu for vegetarian option)
- 4 green onions, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 cups chicken broth (or vegetable broth)
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 cup diced vegetables (bell peppers or carrots)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix ground meat or tofu, garlic, green onions, soy sauce, and sesame oil until combined.
- Place about one tablespoon of filling in the center of each dumpling wrapper; wet edges and seal tightly.
- In another bowl, whisk together chicken broth, sugar, cornstarch, and soy sauce until smooth to make the sauce.
- Pour half of the sauce into a greased baking dish. Arrange dumplings on top and drizzle remaining sauce over them.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.
