  • 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak
  • 8 oz fettuccine or spaghetti
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear the steak for about 4 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from skillet and let rest.
  2. In boiling salted water, cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add halved cherry tomatoes and cook until softened.
  4. Pour in heavy cream, scraping up brown bits from the skillet. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
  5. Slice the steak against the grain and return it to the skillet with the drained pasta. Toss to coat evenly.
  6. Finish with fresh basil before serving.
