Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • 1 lb fresh skinless salmon fillet
  • 2 tbsp quality chilli oil (adjust to taste)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. 1. Cook the pasta: Bring salted water to a boil and cook spaghetti or linguine until al dente (8-10 minutes). Reserve some pasta water before draining.
  2. 2. Sear the salmon: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the salmon fillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and flaky. Remove from skillet.
  3. 3. Sauté garlic: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. 4. Combine flavors: Pour in chilli oil, lemon zest, and juice; stir to combine.
  5. 5. Toss pasta: Add drained pasta to the skillet, tossing gently with the sauce to coat. If needed, add reserved pasta water for desired consistency.
  6. 6. Flake salmon: Gently flake the cooked salmon over the pasta and sprinkle with parsley. Toss again before serving hot.
