  • 4 boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 8 oz fresh mushrooms (cremini or button), sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
  2. Dredge each pork chop in flour, then dip into beaten eggs, and coat thoroughly with breadcrumbs.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and olive oil. Fry schnitzels for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown; remove from pan.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté onions until translucent. Add mushrooms and cook until browned.
  5. Pour in heavy cream; stir until slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve the creamy sauce over the crispy schnitzels.
