- 1 cup button mushrooms, diced
- 1 cup Gruyere cheese, grated
- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh thyme (or 1/3 tsp dried thyme)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onions and garlic until translucent (3-4 minutes).
- Add mushrooms, salt, pepper, and thyme; cook until golden brown (5-7 minutes).
- Pour in heavy cream and simmer until thickened. Stir in Gruyere cheese until melted.
- Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface and cut squares to fit muffin tins.
- Place pastry squares in greased muffin tins, fill with mushroom mixture, top with another pastry square and seal.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
