- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Mix the sourdough starter with warm milk in a large bowl until smooth.
- Whisk in melted butter, then combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt separately before gradually adding to the wet mixture.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until doubled.
- Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle, brush with melted brown butter, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, and roll tightly into a log.
- Cut the log into 12 equal pieces and arrange them in a greased baking dish. Let them rest for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
