Description

  • 1 ready-made pie crust
  • 2 cups diced Granny Smith apples
  • 1 cup diced Honeycrisp apples
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Egg wash (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the pie crust on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick and cut into circles for mini pie bases.
  3. In a bowl, combine diced apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla; toss to coat.
  4. Place half of the dough circles in muffin tins or mini pie pans, filling them with the apple mixture.
  5. Cut remaining dough into strips for topping and place over filled pies; seal edges by crimping.
  6. Brush tops with melted butter or egg wash for color, then bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
