- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg yolk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a square baking pan with grease or parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth. Stir in cocoa powder, eggs, flour, and vanilla until just combined.
- In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth. Add egg yolk and mix thoroughly.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Dollop the cream cheese mixture on top, followed by the remaining brownie batter. Swirl gently with a knife.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until cracks form on top and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
