- 1 lb ground lamb or beef
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 medium onion, finely diced
- 1 cup fresh bread crumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil (plus more for greasing)
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried mint
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it with olive oil.
- Sauté the onion and garlic in a skillet over medium heat until softened, about 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine ground meat, sautéed onion and garlic, bread crumbs, egg, feta cheese, parsley, oregano, mint, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until combined.
- Form the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs using wet hands and place them on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy with tzatziki sauce or in pita wraps.
