Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked jasmine rice (preferably day-old)
  • 8 oz ribeye or sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (broccoli, bell peppers, peas) – optional

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat until melted.
  2. Add the steak pieces and sear for about 3 minutes until browned.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the cooked rice to the skillet, mixing gently for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Drizzle in soy sauce while stirring continuously.
  6. Fold in chopped green onions and an additional tablespoon of butter; stir until well combined.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with more green onions if desired.
