- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

- Stir in minced garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper; cook for an additional minute.
- Add red wine, scraping up browned bits from the bottom of the pot. Let simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Pour in beef broth along with balsamic vinegar and Worcestershire sauce. Return short ribs to the pot.
- Bring to a gentle simmer, cover with a lid, and transfer to the oven. Braise for about 2-3 hours until tender.
