- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup banana peppers (fresh or jarred)
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar and mozzarella mix)
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chives or green onions (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Spray a baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper; place them in the baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes until fully cooked.
- Shred the chicken using two forks once slightly cooled.
- In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream cheese, sour cream, shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, banana peppers, salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy.
- Transfer the mixture back to the baking dish and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until bubbling and golden on top.
