  • 34 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup banana peppers (fresh or jarred)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar and mozzarella mix)
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chives or green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Spray a baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper; place them in the baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes until fully cooked.
  3. Shred the chicken using two forks once slightly cooled.
  4. In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream cheese, sour cream, shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, banana peppers, salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy.
  5. Transfer the mixture back to the baking dish and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until bubbling and golden on top.
  6. Let cool slightly before garnishing with chives or green onions. Serve warm with tortilla chips or veggie sticks.
