Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, beat eggs with milk and melted butter until smooth.
- Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, folding gently until just combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix topping ingredients: brown sugar, cinnamon, and nuts if using.
- Spoon batter into each muffin cup until two-thirds full and generously sprinkle with the topping mixture.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool for five minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
