  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¾ cup whole milk (or buttermilk)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
  2. In one bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Gently fold the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fill each cupcake liner about two-thirds full with batter.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. While cooling, beat cream cheese with powdered sugar and a splash of milk until smooth.
  8. Once cooled, frost each cupcake generously with the cream cheese mixture.
