- 1/2 cup salted pistachios (chopped)
- 3 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and cocoa powder.
- Warm the milk slightly and mix in melted butter and eggs. Combine with dry ingredients until a dough forms.
- Knead on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Let rise in a greased bowl covered with plastic wrap for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- While the dough rises, chop salted pistachios and mix with chocolate chips for the filling.
- Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle (1/4 inch thick) and spread the filling evenly, leaving edges clear.
- Roll tightly from one end to create a log shape and cut into sections about 1-2 inches long.
- Place pieces into greased muffin tins and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
