- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
- 2 cups marinara sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 2 cups shredded whole milk mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken until golden brown, about 4–5 minutes per side. Transfer to a baking dish.
- Pour marinara sauce over the chicken and top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for about 20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Serve alongside chicken.
