- 2 tbsp cornstarch
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
- Reserve one cup of the mixture; press the rest into the bottom of the dish.
- Combine cherries, brown sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and salt in another bowl; let sit for 10 minutes.
- Pour cherry filling over the crust and sprinkle reserved mixture on top.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Cool completely before slicing.
