  • 12 large pasta shells
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (approximately 1 oz)
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup salsa
  • Fresh cilantro (optional, for garnish)
  • Green onions (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta shells in boiling salted water until al dente (8-10 minutes), drain, and set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground meat until cooked through. Stir in taco seasoning and salsa; simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and mix in cream cheese until melted. Fold in half of the shredded cheese.
  4. Stuff each shell with the filling and place in a greased baking dish. Top with remaining shredded cheese.
  5. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes until bubbly.
