- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 28 oz canned crushed tomatoes
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, cubed or shredded
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a large baking dish with olive oil.
- Cook the penne in salted boiling water until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Mix in crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; simmer for about 10 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Combine cooked penne with the tomato sauce in a bowl. Stir in half of the mozzarella before transferring to the baking dish.
