  • 2 cups fresh Granny Smith apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (lightly toasted)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  4. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet mixture on low speed until just mixed.
  5. Fold in chopped apples and nuts if using.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared bundt pan and bake for 45-55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
