- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 2 cups powdered sugar (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
- Sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and sugar in a large bowl.
- Melt butter with Guinness over low heat until warm. Gradually mix into dry ingredients while whisking to combine.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing gently, then stir in vanilla extract until smooth.
- Divide batter evenly between pans and bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool cakes on racks. For frosting, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
- Stack layers with frosting in between and cover the top and sides generously with remaining frosting.
