- 2 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 ½ cups cheddar cheese, grated
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Thinly slice the Yukon Gold potatoes to about 1/8 inch thick.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- In a bowl, mix heavy cream with salt, pepper, and half of the grated cheddar cheese.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the baking dish, pour half of the cream mixture over them, then repeat. Top with remaining cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes; remove foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
