Description

Hearty Beef-Stuffed Pasta Shells are a delightful comfort food featuring jumbo shells filled with seasoned ground beef, creamy ricotta, and melted cheese, all topped with rich marinara sauce.


Ingredients

  • 12 large jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook pasta shells in salted boiling water until al dente (8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat; drain excess fat.
  3. Mix the cooked beef with ricotta, ½ cup mozzarella, Italian seasoning, and salt.
  4. Stuff each shell with the meat mixture and place in a baking dish lined with marinara sauce.
  5. Pour remaining marinara over the shells and top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; uncover and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until bubbly.
