  4. Mix in red food coloring until desired vibrancy is achieved.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Pour batter evenly into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow cakes to cool in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks. Once cooled, frost with cream cheese frosting.
