Instructions

  3. Sear the roast in a hot skillet over medium-high heat for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Place the seared roast on the rack in the roasting pan. Pour beef broth into the pan without covering the meat.
  5. Roast in the oven until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare (approximately 1.5 to 2 hours).
