- 4 green onions, chopped

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Peel and slice the russet potatoes into thin rounds (about 1/8 inch thick).
- In a large bowl, combine sour cream, ¾ cup cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and melted butter until well mixed.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the potato slices followed by half of the creamy mixture. Repeat with remaining potatoes and creamy mixture.
- Top with remaining cheddar cheese and sprinkle with chopped green onions.
